Our Preschool Program

Our program is designed to provide a supportive atmosphere where preschool children learn the job of being themselves within a group of friends, exploring the wonders of life, love and the world around them.

FCC Child Development Center is a place where...
  • Children are loved, just the way they are.
  • Classes sizes are small and individual attention is valued.
  • Children work and play together, learning respect for others as well as building a healthy self image.
  • Curriculum is carefully planned to meet the needs of the individual children within the group and children receive both individual and group guidance to help them acquire skills, gain confidence and work toward independence.
  • Each child's unique manner of learning is recognized and encouraged to guide their self initiated investigations, seeking to expand concepts.
  • A wide variety of materials and equipment are available both indoors and outdoors to stimulate fine and large motor skills, creativity, social and intellectual skills.
  • Skilled teachers nurture each child's curiosity, love for learning, friendships and family values.

At First Congregational Church Child Development Center children of all faiths and all communities are welcome.

Open Enrollment

FCCNS will have open enrollment for new students for preschool.  We will be starting in May and go through the end of September or until the classrooms are filled.  If you know a child that is 2.9-5 years of age and is looking for an awesome preschool refer them to FCCNS.

Program Options

All children, 2.9 through 5 years of age, are welcome in either of our Half-Day or Full-Day Programs. Children may attend 2,3,4, or 5 days per week.

Full Day Program Hours: 
Can be tailored to accommodate our family's needs. Children may arrive between the hours of 7:00 am through 9:30 am and depart between 2:30 pm through 5:30 pm.

Half Day Program Hours: 
Children arrive at 8:15 am and stay till 12:15..

Financial Aid:
We can provide information and applications for: 
  • Bloomfield School Readiness Funding
  • Care 4 Kids
 Both use income/eligible State Sliding Scale fees.

Our preschool program is licensed by the Connecticut State Department of Health and is accredited by The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC)
